Long Synopsis
Sofia Marinelli, a successful architect living in Milan, returns to her quiet coastal hometown after receiving news that her estranged father has passed away. Forced to confront a past she had long avoided, she begins clearing out the family house perched above the sea cliffs.
Among old photographs, unfinished sketches, and boxes of letters, Sofia discovers mysterious references to a series of events that occurred decades earlier — events that no one in the town seems willing to discuss.
As Sofia investigates further, the memories of her childhood begin to blur with stories told by the town’s aging residents. Each revelation slowly alters her understanding of her father and the life he lived after she left.
Haunted by fragments of truth and conflicting memories, Sofia must decide whether uncovering the full story will bring closure or destroy the fragile image she had preserved of her family.
Set against the dramatic landscapes of the Italian coastline, The Glass Horizon unfolds as a quiet yet powerful exploration of memory, identity, and reconciliation.

Anecdote
The coastal house used in the film was an actual abandoned villa overlooking the Ligurian Sea. The director chose the location after discovering it during a photography trip and decided to rewrite parts of the script to integrate the house into the story.
